Richmond

Although they had owned this very attractive Edwardian house in Richmond for some years, our clients had always found it to be dark and unwelcoming. We had previously worked with them on their country house and so they contacted us for an initial informal meeting to discuss what could be done. We instantly saw that by replacing a section of wall between the hallway and the formal sitting room, with a crittall style screen, we could create a light and welcoming hallway, leading into a warm and inviting sitting room. We lightened the paint colours and replaced the hallway floor with tessellated tiles. The gentle colours were continued throughout and we added panelling, beautiful wallpaper, luxurious fabrics and elegant bathroom fittings.

"What I like about Georgina is that she listens to your ideas without imposing her own, interprets them creatively and goes with your choices even if they might not have been her preferred way.  She is hard-working and efficient, with a great network of craftsmen at her beck and call. There is no side to her and she takes no nonsense from builders!  She is a can-do person, not a fluffy designer, but she has a great eye and excellent taste."
